Do I need a new wallet?
No. One signature upgrades your existing address to a smart account. Same address, same funds, nothing to move across.
Do I need to approve every transaction?
No. You approve the limits, not each transaction. A session is approved once in your DeFi wallet, and calls inside it execute without requiring further approval.
With which AI models is Waypoint compatible?
Any model that can call tools — Claude, ChatGPT, or your own agent/harness. You paste the session key into the client you already use; Waypoint does not run the model or see your conversation.
What stops a model from doing something I did not intend?
Every call is checked by your account contract before it executes: allowed protocol, allowed function, budget remaining, grant unexpired, funds returning to your account must all pass the check, otherwise the call reverts. The rules are enforced on‑chain, not by a model behaving correctly.
Do protocols need to integrate with Waypoint?
No. A protocol’s contracts are already a public interface, so a waypoint is authored against what is already deployed. No integration, no permission, no code change. Teams can publish their own waypoint, or anyone else can publish it for them. Waypoints undergo verification prior to publishing.
Does Waypoint ever hold my funds?
No. Waypoint never holds your funds, and can never access your private keys. Transactions execute from your own account, and your private keys stay in your MetaMask or DeFi wallet.
